Analyzed by known methods of casting hollow billets for pipes. A principally new technological schemes casting. One option is the casting of hollow billets up of hermetic tundish. High cooling rate and cyclic motion of the melt along the crystallization front for high quality structure and properties of the metal. In another embodiment, ingot is formed freezing metal by a hollow water-cooled mold. This method of casting, founded theoretical analysis provides a high quality of internal surface of the ingot and the ability to manufacture bimetallic billets.
